WordCamp Asia is powered by the passion, energy, and dedication of volunteers from across the globe. For WordCamp Asia 2027 (April 9–11, 2027 in Penang, Malaysia), we are looking for enthusiastic community members to help us build an unforgettable experience for thousands of attendees!

Who We Are Looking For?
No prior WordPress expertise is needed! We welcome volunteers who are dependable, punctual, respectful, collaborative, and adaptable to changing event needs.
Volunteer Roles Available:
- Room & Session Support: Hall Leads, Time Keepers, Runners, Speaker Support, Contributor Day.
- Attendee Services: Registration, Food & Beverage, Swag Station, Accessibility, Information Desk.
- Media & Communications: Media Support & Live Social Media Coverage.
- Sponsor & Team Support: Sponsor Logistics & Volunteer Operations.
Note: Photographers and AV volunteers should apply through this general application. A separate call for Emcees will open in mid-October 2026.
Benefits & Ticket Policy All selected volunteers will receive a complimentary WordCamp Asia 2027 event pass, exclusive volunteer swag/T-shirt, and meals during shift hours. Already bought a ticket? No worries! If selected, your purchased ticket can be fully refunded or transferred to another community member.
