Invited Speakers Program

Some people change more than the products we use. They change how we build, how we work, and what we believe is possible.

Who comes to mind for you?

Help shape the conversations at WordCamp Asia 2027. Share a speaker recommendation, a topic idea inspired by their work, or both.

What is the Invited Speakers Program?

The Invited Speakers Program helps us identify and invite people whose ideas, leadership, or work have brought meaningful change to the industry. People who have challenged established thinking, created new opportunities, or enabled lasting, sustainable growth. It complements the regular Call for Speakers and brings broader  perspectives to the event, including voices from beyond the WordPress community.

Our theme, “Where The Open Web Comes Together,” celebrates people who build, grow, connect, and contribute. Through this program, we want to share the experiences, decisions, and lessons behind their impact, helping our community explore new possibilities for WordPress and the wider open web.

Whose story should reach our community?

Think of someone who has:

  • Changed how people create, work, or connect through technology.
  • Built products or organizations that have influenced an industry.
  • Advanced open source or expanded access to knowledge and opportunity.
  • Demonstrated how businesses and communities can grow sustainably.
  • Turned a bold idea into meaningful, lasting change.

Their work may be rooted in WordPress or extend across the wider world of technology, business, design, and beyond.

What connects these stories is their relevance to our community of builders, contributors, entrepreneurs, and creators.

Tell us about their impact

A strong nomination goes beyond a name or job title.

Tell us what this person changed. Share the work, decisions, or achievements that demonstrate their contribution. Help us understand what the WordCamp Asia audience could learn from them.

You do not need to know the person personally to nominate them. A thoughtful explanation and links to their work are a helpful starting point.

How to make a recommendation

Use the form to share your ideas. All fields are optional; please complete at least the speaker or topic suggestion. Bullet points are welcome.

If you do not know the person personally, you can add a public professional profile to help us identify the speaker and understand their impact.

If you can make an introduction, tell us how you know them and leave your own name and email for follow-up.

Please do not share someone else’s private contact details without their permission.
