Speakers Announcement – Round 5

The WordCamp Asia 2023 Organizing Team is pleased to announce the fifth round of speakers who will be joining us in February 2023.

  • Amir Arabnezhad

    I’m Amir and I have been a WordPress developer for several years. I worked remotely for most of career, but lately I’ve worked as a WordPress developer at uwpgroup.co.uk and right now, I am a Tier 3 WordPress Technical Support Engineer at Barn2.com. I know how to code with PHP and I love JS and its frameworks!

  • Edmund Chan

    A Web Engineer who enjoys fiddling with WordPress and React. Currently working at XWP to help build a better web at enterprise scale.

  • Hidekazu Ishikawa

    Representative director and front-end engineer of Vektor, Inc., a Japanese WordPress theme and plugin development company. He released a responsive theme for business sites in 2012, and since then has continued to improve the theme and develop plugins. In 2022, we released the block theme “X-T9”.
    Participates in various contribution activities, speaks at WordCamp, and actively participates and presents at WordPress community events in Japan and Hong Kong.
    Through my presentation at WordCamp Asia, I would like to contribute to the development of exchanges among more Asian communities.

  • Kel Santiago-Pilarski

    Kel Santiago-Pilarski was a nurse and tattoo artist, who’s currently a WordPress.com Happiness Engineer at Automattic. She met her husband in a WordCamp! 🙂

  • Laura Byrne

    Laura started off her career with educational non-profits, where marketing was part of everyone’s job description. After dabbling in in Microsoft FrontPage for a few years, Laura found WordPress in 2006 when she and a friend decided to build a website with a blog and forum for fans to discuss a then little-known book called Twilight. What started out as an obscure website, rapidly grew into the most popular Twilight website on the internet with millions of visitors each day from around the globe.

    Thrust into a vortex of viral website management meets Hollywood, Laura’s marketing arsenal exponentially grew, as she hit the ground running with new skill sets in SEO, social media strategy, podcasting, event management, and more.

    These days, Laura works for WebDev Studios as an account manager.

  • Nirav Mehta

    Nirav is an unusual combination of a geek + entrepreneur + storyteller + mentor. If you have any questions about WordPress, WooCommerce; running or scaling a tech business, he’s your goto guy!

    Over the last two decades he launched India’s first electronic magazine, a 120 people web agency, lots of open source contributions and a string of successful product businesses. He has authored three books.

    He currently leads StoreApps.org, Icegram.com, Putler.com and Offermative.com

  • Sabirah

    Starting my writing career as an academic writer on Upwork, I developed myself all the way and established my expertise in creating trendy, ever-green, and informative content. In my current position I am also responsible for reviewing blogs, effective SEO for getting a better position on Search Engines, topical mapping, Researching blog topics, reporting for measuring blog performances, and dedicatedly working to boost their CTR rates by analyzing Google Analytics & Search console. I also prepare monthly reports for individual products as well as team members.

  • Sekander Badsha

    I have started with theme development back in 2012 and developed a couple of national daily newspapers online edition. In 2014, I joined weDevs as a happiness engineer and transitioned into a content writer, email marketer, digital marketing expert, partnerships manager, product manager and project manager. I have worked with a couple of international teams remotely and attended WordCamp Singapore and WordCamp Dhaka. I was one of the venue lead for WordCamp Dhaka. I speak regularly in local WordPress meetups and I am one of the general translation editors of the Bengali team.

    I have been working with eLearning solutions from last 4 years and currently employed with LifterLMS as the Head of Growth Marketing.

    I have trained and hired customer support, technical writer, digital marketers and SEO staff all over the world. I also have a remote team helping me with the day to day tasks of LifterLMS.

  • Sunita Rai

    Sunita is a content marketer with more than seven years of experience. She specializes in WordPress SEO content writing, affiliate marketing, and email marketing. After working on popular WordPress blogs like AccessPress Themes, ThemeGrill, WPBeginner, etc., as a full-time writer, she is now more involved in hiring and training beginners, freelance writing, and managing some WordPress blogs. She was a speaker at WordCamp Kathmandu 2016 and WordCamp Biratnagar 2018, and a co-organizer of WordCamp Kathmandu 2022. You can find her on Twitter @TheSunitaRai.
