Speakers Announcement – Round 2

The WordCamp Asia 2023 Organizing Team is pleased to announce the second round of speakers who will be joining us in February 2023.

  • Alain Schlesser

    Alain is a freelance software engineer, WordPress consultant and Google Developers Expert in Web Technologies living in Germany.

    He is the maintainer of WP-CLI, the command-line interface for WordPress and works on WordPress Core itself as a contributor and component maintainer.

    He offers higher-level consulting, code reviews and software design coaching, enabling companies to deal with frequent change and ever-growing complexity while optimizing for reduced maintenance effort and lower total cost of ownership.

    Passionate about software architecture and code quality, he never misses an opportunity to share best practices and tries to live up to his educational aspirations through public speaking and blogging.

  • Carl Alexander

    Carl Alexander is a PHP developer from Montréal, Canada. He’s the solo founder of Ymir, a serverless DevOps platform for WordPress.

    He also has a website where he publishes articles regularly. It’s his way to help the WordPress community with these hard-to-learn topics. It’s also why he’s excited to speak at WordCamp Asia. It’s another way for him to help the WordPress community.

    Besides that, he’s been a WordPress Montréal organizer since 2010. He also helps organize other WordPress events during the year. You can find him on Twitter and GitHub.

  • Dario Jazbec Hrvatin

    I am a Content Manager for OnTheGoSystems, the company behind WPML and Toolset plugins. Born in Croatia and now living in Slovenia with my wife, daughter, and our chihuahua dog. Also a seasoned musician and singer-songwriter. In the past, I’ve worked as a web developer and spent some years freelancing, then in a non-governmental sector, and also creating websites for a marketing agency. From the moment I started building websites, WordPress has always been my main tool and I’ve never looked back. Working remotely for OnTheGoSystems was a huge thing for me because it helped me work on cutting-edge WordPress technologies (I started as a tester). It also allowed me to connect with the WordPress community and immensely broaden my experience and knowledge. I started going to WordCamps and WordPress Meetups, spoke at quite a number of them, and met a huge number of totally awesome people from all over the WordPress world.

  • Karim Marucchi

    Karim Marucchi Was born in Rome and holds a Master of Architecture from La Sapienza University. Today as CEO of Crowd Favorite, a Digital Strategy and Engineering firm, he and his team work with Fortune 500 companies on planning and building tomorrow’s Digital Transformations. His career has included founding multiple startups, working as an executive within the WPP Group in Europe, and has taken companies public. Karim has significant experience with mergers and acquisitions and figuring out how to make diverse teams work as a cohesive unit. Outside of Crowd Favorite, he has a passion for supporting leaders in the midst of significant business transitions, empowering the next generation of change-makers, and extending environmental education around the world. This has led him to serve on various Boards of Directors, including the Captain Planet Foundation.

  • Le-an Lai Lacaba

    Le-an Lai Lacaba is the CEO and Co-Founder of 2xYou, winner of the Stevie Award 2021 Employer Of The Year, an outsourcing company that specializes in hiring, managing, and growing remote executive assistants for solopreneurs and small business owners.

    She has been working from home since she was 15, published her own book at 18, became CEO at 20, and partnered up with her boss to start 2xYou Executive Services at 23 and aims to help 10,000 entrepreneurs grow remotely, and 1 Million Filipinos to work from home.

    She also has a coaching brand on Youtube, where she trains Virtual Assistants on how to work from home. She is also an international speaker, and a content creation monster who has a blog, a Youtube channel, and an upcoming book, Scale You.

  • Petya Raykovska

    Petya is the Director of Agency Operations at Human Made, a global distributed WordPress agency.

    In 15+ years of experience in the software development industry, Petya’s held roles in product marketing and event management, enterprise media, product development, business operations, project management, and resource management.

    Petya has volunteered, lead, and enabled global open source communities, one of which, the WordPress Polyglots, played a key role in developing their passion for breaking the boundaries of cross-cultural communication.

  • Rahi Prajapati

    Rahi hails from Gujarat, India, and is currently working as an Engineering Manager at a WordPress agency, rtCamp. He has been working with WordPress since 2018. He is in love with the Gutenberg project, the FSE (Full Site Editing) initiative, and he contributes towards it over the weekends. Apart from WordPress, he enjoys food, games, movies, and travelling in his spare time.

  • Raushan Jaiswal

    Raushan Jaiswal is a marketer and entrepreneur. He is co-founder and CEO of Codewing Solutions, the company behind Rara Themes, Blossom Themes and WP Travel Engine. 

    Raushan wears multiple hats at Codewing Solutions, including marketing and growth of the products. He has 10+ years of experience in marketing with extensive knowledge and experience with SEO, affiliate marketing, email marketing, and YouTube marketing.

    Using his WordPress marketing skills, he has been able to get millions of website traffic and YouTube views, leading to 10 million+ downloads.
