To help our WordPress community members relax and unwind, we’ll provide beginner-friendly yoga and meditation sessions on both conference days! So, come prepared to stretch, breathe, and de-stress with us.
We know that life can get hectic and stressful, especially when sitting in front of a computer all day. That’s why we’re excited to offer a Wellness session at our conference to help our WordPress community members relax and unwind! Studies have shown that yoga and meditation can be great tools for reducing stress and anxiety. So come prepared to stretch, breathe, and de-stress with us. Our goal is to help and encourage our community to be more active and feel their best.
Why Attend The Wellness Session?
Attending the Wellness session is a great opportunity to take a break from the conference and focus on your physical and mental well-being. The yoga and meditation sessions will provide a chance to stretch and breathe, helping to reduce stress and tension in the body. Additionally, it can be an opportunity to relax and quiet the mind, helping to reduce anxiety and improve focus. The Wellness session is a great way to take care of yourself, both physically and mentally, while also getting the chance to connect with other members of the WordPress community. It’s a chance to step away from your computer, refresh and come back to the conference feeling energised and ready to learn.
Session Overview
We want you to have a rejuvenating break amidst the hustle and bustle of our flagship event, that’s why we’re excited to offer two Yoga sessions on Saturday and Sunday, 18-19 February 2023 at 12:00 – 13:00 (UTC+7).
Led by our experienced Yoga Instructor Chayapat Phakdee and accompanied by musician Patsakorn Aunsangchan, these sessions will be held in Room MR 13.
With a capacity of 30 people per session, it’s a great opportunity to unwind and recharge.
How to register
We’re excited to welcome you to our sessions! As space is limited, we kindly ask you to register at the HelpDesk counter before the session each day. The registration period is from 09:00 -11:00 (UTC+7) or until we reach capacity. If you’re unable to make it, please let us know so that we can open up your spot for others.
About this session
Unlike traditional yoga, we are going to enjoy “Handpan Yoga”. Handpan yoga is a type of yoga that uses a steel drum instrument called a Handpan to enhance poses and breathing exercises. It’s believed to bring balance and harmony to mind and body, aiding in reducing stress and tension.
Requirements
You don’t need to bring any equipment. A yoga mat will be provided for the sessions.
Just make sure you are in comfortable clothes for stretching, and you are good to go!
Instructors for each activity will guide and help you. Also, we will be providing 30 yoga mats for the participants, but if you are late and you don’t find a free mat, you can always wait or use the natural mat and sit on the ground.
