What We Have Achieved in WordCamp Asia 2024
WordCamp Asia 2024 was a landmark event that truly showcased the growing global reach of our community, with participants from over 70 countries and 36% attending for the first time. The event featured an impressive lineup of 55 speakers, including industry leaders like Noel Tock, Ben Thompson, Josepha Haden Chomphosy, Matt Mullenweg, and Ju-Chun Ko, who enriched the event with their insights. Supported by 39 sponsors, the event welcomed 1892 registrants and 1320 attendees, while over 6300 people joined Livestream virtually.
Additionally, this year’s WordCamp Asia marked a historic moment with 627 contributors, making it the biggest Contributor Day in Asia and the first for Taiwan, welcoming 110 new contributors and highlighting the growing enthusiasm and contributions within the community.
This event would not have been possible without the dedication of 46 organizers and 97 volunteers including regular volunteers, emcees, and A/V crew, who generously contributed their time and effort. Thank you all!
Looking Ahead: WordCamp Asia 2025
Excitement is already brewing for the next chapter of our journey – WordCamp Asia 2025, set to take place in the vibrant city of Manila, Philippines in February, 2025. This promises to be an exhilarating new venture, and we are eager to see the community come together once again.
