Note: There are very few restaurants that serve strictly Jain vegetarian food. In regular vegetarian restaurants, they might use the same pot to cook onion or garlic. Please be aware of this if you adhere strictly to Jain dietary rules.

From the daringly aromatic stinky tofu to the savory oyster pancake, and the unique pig blood cake, there’s an endless variety to explore. Taipei, in particular, is a melting pot of global culinary influences, fostering a vibrant and evolving eating culture.
