Dr. JU-CHUN (JC) KO, currently an At-Large Legislator and adjunct assistant professor at the Graduate Institute of Networking and Multimedia at National Taiwan University, has been deeply engaged with the CMS community in Taipei since 2004 and actively involved in blog writing. After earning his Ph.D. in Computer Science from National Taiwan University in 2012, he proceeded to Keio University’s Graduate School of Media Design (KMD) in Japan for postdoctoral research and later attended Singularity University in the US.
He also served as the Taiwan AI/Web3 Growth Partner for the Dentsu Group in Japan. Besides founding the well-known technology podcast “dAb in Tech,” he has actively organized and participated in WordPress-related gatherings and lectures, including the Taipei WordPress Meetup in 2013 and a smaller gathering in 2017.
This year, he is honored to have been invited to speak at WordCamp Asia 2024. His digital journey spans from early blog writing to exploring the cutting edge of Web3 and decentralized publishing, especially in promoting and applying the “Writing as NFT” system developed by the LikeCoin organization in Hong Kong on the WordPress platform. His expertise lies in merging legislative insights with digital innovation, building a bridge between traditional web technologies and the emerging Web3 ecosystem, committed to driving progress in technology and society.
