Call for Emcees

WordCamp Asia 2024 is the biggest WordPress event in Asia, and we are looking for emcees to help us make it a success!

As an emcee, you will be responsible for introducing speakers, leading Q&A after each session, and keeping the audience engaged throughout the event. One should have a strong stage presence, be able to speak clearly and confidently, and be able to ad-lib when necessary.

If you are a member of the WordPress community and are passionate about helping others learn and grow, we encourage you to apply to be an emcee at WordCamp Asia 2024.

• What are the benefits of being an emcee at WordCamp Asia 2024?

As an emcee, you will have the opportunity to network with hundreds of members of the WordPress community, learn from leading experts in the field, and make a real difference in the success of the event. You will also receive a complimentary ticket to attend WordCamp Asia 2024.

• Do I need to have experience as an emcee to apply?

Experience is not required, but it is a plus. We are looking for individuals with a strong stage presence and the ability to connect with an audience.

• Should you buy a ticket?

You can purchase a ticket when each ticket batch sales have opened. If you are selected as an emcee, we will be giving you a complimentary ticket to attend the event. Then you can transfer your purchased ticket to someone else.

• What will the selection process be like?

We will review all applications and select a team of emcees based on their qualifications and experience. We will also consider the diversity of the applicant pool when making our selections.

• When will I be notified if I have been selected?

We will notify selected emcees by November 2023.
