We are thrilled to unveil our sixth invited speaker for WordCamp Asia 2024, Dr. JU-CHUN (JC) KO, a distinguished figure whose contributions have continually shaped the digital and CMS community in Taipei and beyond.
About Dr. JU-CHUN KO
Dr. KO’s journey through the realms of technology and digital innovation is nothing short of inspiring. Currently serving as an At-Large Legislator and adjunct assistant professor at the Graduate Institute of Networking and Multimedia at National Taiwan University, he has been a pivotal presence in the CMS community since 2004, notably engaging in blog writing and organizing WordPress-related events.
After obtaining his Ph.D. in Computer Science from National Taiwan University in 2012, Dr. KO expanded his horizons to Keio University’s Graduate School of Media Design (KMD) in Japan for postdoctoral research, followed by an enriching experience at Singularity University in the US. His roles have been as diverse as they are impressive, including his service as the Taiwan AI/Web3 Growth Partner for the Dentsu Group in Japan and founding the acclaimed technology podcast “dAb in Tech.”
Dr. KO’s commitment to the WordPress community is evident from his active involvement in organizing and participating in events such as the Taipei WordPress Meetup in 2013 and a more intimate gathering in 2017. His invitation to speak at WordCamp Asia 2024 is a testament to his enduring impact and visionary outlook on the future of digital publishing and web technologies.
