As the first-ever flagship WordCamp Asia 2020, it is our goal and mission to help usher in the next generation of WordPress builders and we’re going to do that through KidsCamp on February 21, 2020.
Parents attending WordCamp Asia can bring their junior website creators along and enjoy a day of parent-child learning under the direction of some of our WordPress experts!
JC Mae Palmes, a WordPress Developer and one of the organizers of WordCamp Asia, will be leading KidsCamp this year alongside other WordPress experts and WordCamp Asia volunteers.
This special track will take place alongside Contributor Day on February 21, 2020. Our kid-friendly lessons will introduce your child to the wonderful world of WordPress and help them learn, or improve, their WordPress skills, such as development, and design. After the day is complete, your child will leave with their very own WordPress.org site up and running!
Interested parents or guardians will need to sign up their junior creators by purchasing the KidsCamp Ticket from our tickets page. Parents will be responsible for staying with their child during KidsCamp, this is not mandatory but recommended for younger kids. Each child will need his or her own laptop to work on.
Each KidsCamp ticket (฿ 100.00) provides your child with lunch, an afternoon snack, and full access to the day’s lessons. Children aged 7 to 15 are eligible to participate in these special lessons and spots are limited to only 20 students (not including their guardian).
KidsCamp tickets will be on a “first-come, first-served” basis and either the parent or a guardian needs to have a WordCamp Asia ticket purchased before they can register their child.
