Meet WordCamp Asia 2020 Wapuu!

The Call for Wapuu received 16 Wapuu design submissions by 12 designers from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, India, Japan, and Thailand. We are very excited and thankful to receive many submissions!

The organisers voted for the design that we think can represent the vision that we have for WCAsia 2020, and of course, the most voted Wapuu will be WordCamp Asia 2020 mascot.

Bangkok, Thailand, October 2019: The organisers of WordCamp Asia 2020 are expecting more than 1,000 WordPress bloggers, developers, designers, entrepreneurs, marketers and enthusiasts to attend the 3-day event, scheduled for February 21-23, 2020 at TRUE ICON HALL @ ICONSIAM. WordCamp Asia 2020 is Asia’s first flagship WordCamp, and overall third flagship WordCamp, after WordCamp Europe and WordCamp US. To mark this important milestone, Matt Mullenweg, co-founder of WordPress, will present the keynote address.

Call for Panel Experts

Call for Panel Experts – Open Now!

Other than the usual talks, WordCamp Asia 2020 is now inviting applications for panel experts.

We are looking for both – panellists (speakers) as well as moderators (anchors).

Irrespective of whether you have applied as a speaker or not, you can submit your application as a panel expert.

WordCamp Asia 2020 will have two tracks over two days. All talks will be in English. We are aiming for a mixture of full-length and lightning talks.

We hope to see stir discussions around some of the topics listed below.

  1. Diversity Challenges in WordPress
  2. Remote Working
  3. Future of WordPress Economy
  4. Careers in WordPress
  5. PHP vs JavaScript

We will be accepting panel experts applications until September 30, 2019.

It is an extra five days, compared to the regular speaker talks submission deadline.
