Below, find the key roles and responsibilities for each team:

Attendee Experience Team (AX Team)

Ensure attendees are well-prepared and supported, handling everything from visa inquiries to accessibility accommodations.

You will be responsible for creating engagement points 

Ideal for those committed to delivering top-notch participant service.

Communication Team

Manage and produce all event-related content, from blog posts to social media updates, ensuring timely and accurate information dissemination.

This role is perfect for enthusiasts in content creation, communication, marketing and public relations.

Contributor Day Team

Organize the first day of the event, Contributor Day, aimed at welcoming and integrating new contributors into the WordPress community.

This is a great fit for those who are enthusiastic about community building and providing a welcoming atmosphere for newcomers.

Design Team

Create and maintain the visual identity of WordCamp Asia, from key visuals, event signage, and swags.

This team suits those with a knack for graphic design and a desire to make a visual impact. 

Finance Team

The Finance Team is responsible for managing budgets, overseeing expenses, and ensuring financial transparency. They handle vendor payments, track financial transactions, and produce detailed financial reports.

IT Team

Develop and maintain the event’s website and ensure seamless integration of IT services. This can range from our email + ticketing services all the way to integration of marketing tools and asset management.

If you excel in web development and IT solutions and are keen on enhancing user experience, this is your team.

Local Team

Handle local logistics including venue setup, equipment, and catering, while also forging partnerships with local entities. This team is essential for ensuring all local operations are seamlessly integrated.

This role is ideal for those skilled in logistics, resource management, and community engagement. (Philippines residents only)

Operations Team

Oversee the logistical aspects of the event to ensure everything runs smoothly, including but not limited to the registration process, vendor spec documents and the event rundown. The operations team will also help centralize the documentation of each team.

This role is crucial for those who are detail-oriented and excel in event management.

Photography Team

Capture the essence of the event through photography and videography, documenting memorable moments to share globally.

Ideal for those passionate about photography and visual storytelling.

Program Team

Curate the event’s schedule, ensuring a dynamic lineup of talks and activities that engage and inspire attendees.

If you have a talent for event planning and speaker coordination, consider this role.

You are the key partner for sponsors, leading them along their journey of onboarding to being a sponsor, to having a fully-realized presence at the conference. This role requires that all team members perform outreach to potential sponsors, build relationships with the sponsors, work out any questions and issues that may arise, and ensure that they stay informed about their specific sponsor needs, requirements and event details along the way.

This team is perfect for those skilled in partnerships, sales, project management and relationship management.

Volunteers Team

Manage and support the volunteers who are critical to the event’s operation, ensuring they have a rewarding experience.

This role is suited for those who excel in team coordination and volunteer engagement.
