The WordPress Speed Build Challenge returns with a twist to WordCamp Asia 2026, and this time, you could be on stage!
If you haven’t seen it before, the WordPress Speed Build Challenge is a live session where experienced WordPress builders race against the clock to create a website in 30 minutes using only the Full Site Editor (FSE). The challenge is as much about problem-solving as it is about speed.
For a quick glimpse, check out this video from the last WordCamp Asia edition!
The WordPress Speed Build Challenge has been one of the most popular sessions at WordCamp Asia, as it offers a look into how experienced builders think and adapt in real time.
In the past, participants were invited based on their experience with FSE.
But this year, we’re opening up a call for participants, giving more people the opportunity to showcase their FSE skills on one of the biggest stages.
Interested in showing your WordPress building skills?
Remember, this is a fast-paced, high-pressure challenge in front of a live audience. You would be a great fit if you are:
- An expert at building websites with WordPress
- Comfortable explaining, in English, what you’re building as you go
- Able to stay focused and composed under pressure
- Someone who enjoys a bit of friendly competition
You don’t need to build a perfect website. What matters most is how you choose to approach the problem and communicate your thinking along the way.
Apply using this form before February 28, 2026 — 11:59 PM IST (UTC +5:30)
