We were so excited to learn that WordPress 7.0 is scheduled to be released on Contributor Day at WordCamp Asia 2026 in Mumbai.
WordPress 7.0 will reflect nearly five months of collective effort from contributors around the world. Every release is made possible by the dedication, team work, and care of several hundred individuals. Contributor Day is a final opportunity to collaborate and celebrate every contribution in new and meaningful ways.

What to Expect on Contributor Day

- Select tables will be focused on supporting the release process, especially through testing..
- Morning sessions will focus on explaining how the WordPress release cycle works and how to get involved.
