Contributing Sessions

What Are Contributing Sessions?

Contributing sessions are the working parts of Contributor Day where you roll up your sleeves and help improve WordPress, together with other attendees.

You will join a team table or a guided workshop, get a quick welcome and direction from a table lead or mentor, then choose a task that fits your comfort level. Some people jump into code, others help in non-technical ways, like improving documentation, translating, testing features and reporting bugs, checking accessibility, giving design feedback, creating training materials, supporting users, or helping with community work.

The best part is you are not doing it alone. You will have people around you to answer questions, point you to the right place, and help you finish something real. By the end of a session, you should have made at least one meaningful contribution, learned how that team works, and have a clear next step if you want to keep contributing after the event.
