My WordPress Journey
Finding your team takes time. It took me 11 years to discover where my contribution can make a larger impact. From design to accessibility, polyglot, and marketing – over the years, I have been migrating across various teams and contributor tables. Today, I feel blessed to support the community by contributing to WordPress Education projects, such as WordPress Credits.
As a university lecturer, I always believed in the idea of sharing my knowledge and experience as a way to give back to society. Standing between WordPress and academics makes it easy for me to connect those two worlds that often speak different languages but have common goals. I am happy to know that my effort resulted in Riga Nordic University joining the WordPress Credits program, as well as pushing more universities to connect with the WordPress community. Seeing those results and getting support from fellow community members motivates me to go forward for a larger impact.
