We’re excited to introduce the two contestants who will take on the WordPress Speed Build Challenge at WordCamp Asia 2026.
⚡ Ajay Maurya
Ajay is a Senior Frontend Engineer at Fueled, where he has spent the last five years building enterprise-scale WordPress solutions. He specialises in Full Site Editing and block-theme development, and has contributed to several open-source repositories. Ajay is an active organiser and speaker in the Mumbai WordPress community, as well as part of the Technology Team in WordCamp Asia 2026.
⚡ Craig Gomes
Craig is the founder of Pixelvise, where he handles everything from UI/UX and theme architecture to performance optimisation and deployment. He is also a WordPress educator and has covered FSE builds, custom systems, and advanced workflows on his YouTube channel. Craig runs his personal site on a headless WordPress setup powered by a custom RAG-based AI chatbot. A geek at heart!
Ajay and Craig two will go head-to-head in a live 30-minute challenge to build a WordPress website using only the Full Site Editor (FSE), right in front of a global audience.
Guiding the challenge live on stage will be Jamie Marsland, bringing energy, insights, and keeping the pressure on as the clock ticks.
