“WordPress has given me a community, a purpose, and endless opportunities to learn, grow, and give back.”

My WordPress Journey

My WordPress journey began in 2015, when I created my first blog. That small project sparked my curiosity about how WordPress works. Over the next few years, I learned PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, gradually building my skills. I started locally as a WordPress customiser and designer, and in 2018, I developed my first custom theme for a school management system.

In 2022, I felt inspired to give back to the WordPress community. In 2023, I proudly earned my first Core Contributor badge in WordPress 6.3, marking the beginning of my contributor journey. Soon after, I contributed to the Twenty Twenty-Four (TT4) and Twenty Twenty-Five (TT5) default block themes.

Today, I actively contribute to the Core, Test, Training, and Community teams, along with several others. I have been recognised as a Noteworthy Contributor for WordPress 6.4 “Shirley” and 6.5 “Regina”, and I am a recipient of the Yoast Care Fund. More recently, I joined as a mentor in the WordPress Credits Programme, helping new contributors get started. I have also led the Core Table at WordCamp Sylhet 2024 and WordCamp Dhaka 2025, guiding first-time contributors and fostering collaboration.

WordPress has given me a supportive community, a strong sense of purpose, and continuous opportunities to grow. I hope my journey encourages new contributors to take their first step and explore the exciting world of WordPress.
