We’re excited to open applications for the host city of WordCamp Asia 2027!

Hosting WordCamp Asia isn’t just about putting on an event. It’s about welcoming thousands of WordPress enthusiasts into your city, sharing your local culture with the world, and lifting up your community with global recognition.

For a few unforgettable days, your city becomes the heartbeat of the WordPress world, uniting attendees, speakers, and contributors from around the world.

Could your city be the next chapter in this journey?

Stories from Past Hosts

Every WordCamp Asia reflects the heart of its host city, through its venues, its community, and its culture. And Wapuu mascots embody that.

Bangkok, 2023

The very first WordCamp Asia took place at ICONSIAM, a riverside landmark on the Chao Phraya. After years of waiting, the excitement in the community was unbelievable.

The official Wapuu, Chao Phraya Boat Wapuu, captured that spirit perfectly, sailing down the river with the same energy and possibility that marked this historic beginning.

Taipei, 2024

WordCamp Asia 2024 took place at the Taipei International Convention Center (TICC), just steps from Taipei 101, tradition and technology met side by side. Surrounded by temples and skyscrapers, the event was filled with connection and culture.

The official Wapuu, Soul Dumpling Wapuu, reflected the city’s warmth and hospitality through its popular soup dumpling.

Manila 2025

WordCamp Asia 2025 was organized at Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), the historic landmark at the heart of Manila. The atmosphere was alive with laughter, conversations, and new friendships. Outside the venue, Manila’s lively streets made it feel like one big celebration.

The official Wapuu, Tahopuu, featured the Philippines’ favorite street snack, taho, honoring the city’s street food culture.

Looking Ahead to Mumbai 2026

Next year, WordCamp Asia 2026 will happen at Jio World Convention Centre (JWCC) in Mumbai, a world-class venue in the heart of one of India’s most dynamic cities.

We can’t wait to see how Mumbai’s energy and diversity will shape the next chapter of our story.

Each city becomes part of WordCamp Asia’s story. Could yours be next?

Global Collaboration

Hosting a flagship WordCamp may sound like a big challenge, but you won’t be doing it alone. WordCamp Asia thrives on teamwork between the local organizing team and an experienced group of global contributors.

From planning to execution, you’ll be supported at every step, ensuring the event is smooth, inclusive, and impactful.

WordCamp Asia is powered by both seasoned organizers from across the region and passionate local WordPress enthusiasts.

If your community is active and your city has a team ready to welcome the world, this could be your moment to host Asia’s flagship WordCamp.
