We are happy to share that registration for WordCamp Asia 2026 Contributor Day is now officially open.
Contributor Day is one of the most meaningful parts of WordCamp. It is your chance to meet the community, learn by doing, and give back to the open source project that powers a large part of the web.
You do not need prior experience to join. If this is your first time contributing, you will find mentors, clear guidance, and a welcoming space to get started. If you are a returning contributor, this is the perfect opportunity to collaborate, share your expertise, and create real impact.

What’s New This Year?
We are adding a few new elements to make this Contributor Day more enriching and enjoyable for everyone.
The Open Source Library
A dedicated space for one on one conversations with experienced contributors. Sit down, ask questions, and learn directly from people who will share their journeys, lessons, workflows, and real experiences in open source.
Contributor Day Workshops
Hands on sessions running through the day. These workshops are beginner friendly, contribution focused, and designed to help you build confidence and pick up practical skills you can apply immediately.
Along with this, you will find the familiar Make WordPress team tables, where contributors from design, engineering, documentation, translation, community, accessibility, testing, and more come together to work on real tasks that move the project forward.
Come curious. Participate actively. Leave with skills, connections, and a sense of contribution that lasts well beyond the day.
For more information, visit Contributor Day.
Why Join Contributor Day?
Contributor Day is for everyone. You do not need to write code or be an expert in any area. All you need is curiosity and a willingness to learn.
You will meet people from across the WordPress community, explore new skills, and discover contribution paths that feel meaningful to you. Even small efforts matter, and every contribution helps strengthen the project and the community.
We are excited to welcome you and to make this Contributor Day a warm, inspiring, and inclusive experience for all.
