About Mary Hubbard
Mary Hubbard is the Executive Director of WordPress, the world’s most popular open source website platform, built and maintained by a global community of contributors.
With over 20 years of industry experience, she is known for her strength in product development, program management, and building efficient, people-friendly systems. Before joining WordPress, she held senior leadership roles at well-known global companies, including TikTok, eBay, Walmart, Assurant, and TruRating.
In October 2024, WordPress announced her appointment as Executive Director, recognising her leadership background and her ability to guide large-scale platforms with clarity and purpose. Today, she plays a key role in shaping the future of WordPress, with a strong focus on keeping open source sustainable and community-led.
