WordCamp Asia 2026: The Premier Open Source Web Summit of Asia
WordCamp Asia 2026 is the fourth edition of the flagship WordCamp in Asia.
Hosted in Mumbai, India’s commercial capital with a vibrant culture, the open-source web summit for WordPress will welcome web agencies, web creators, and digital professionals across platforms.
Building on previous editions in Bangkok, Taipei, and Manila, WordCamp Asia 2026 in Mumbai will welcome over 3,000 attendees, powered by a dedicated team of organisers and volunteers.
Three Core Objectives

Expand Beyond WordPress Boundaries
“If you must build on the web, build it on WordPress.”
WordCamp Asia 2026 embraces a broader vision, positioning itself as a technology and digital innovation conference that welcomes entrepreneurs, developers, designers, students, and digital professionals, regardless of their current platform preferences.

Empower Local Community Growth
“Strengthen Asian WordPress communities and pioneer new community-building models.”
We aim to celebrate local innovation, encourage cross-cultural collaboration, and build sustainable community models that can be replicated across the region.

Set Scale Standards
“Organize the largest WordCamp in history.”
With Mumbai as the host city, a global tech and creative hub, we’re aiming for the largest and most engaging WordCamp to date. The goal isn’t just about record attendance, but also about meaningful engagement and value throughout the experience.

WordPress Communities in the Host Country: India
India has one of the most active WordPress communities in the world, with thousands of contributors and more than 20 active community groups hosting regular meetups and events.
India’s WordCamp journey began with WordCamp India 2009 in Delhi. Since then, the community has organized hundreds of events and has included next-gen new formats like Campus Connect and Women’s Day Meetups.
In 2025 alone, the country hosted over 15 major events (WordCamps and next-gen events altogether), further showcasing its community strength.
Home to thousands of dedicated WordPress professionals, India is ready to host the premier WordPress conference of Asia — WordCamp Asia 2026.

Experience Mumbai Magic

Mumbai promises not just an amazing conference, but a magical experience. Known as India’s financial powerhouse and home to Bollywood, it combines iconic landmarks, a vibrant economy, and bustling local life, earning its nickname, the “City of Dreams.”
- Iconic Landmarks & Coastline: The ‘Queen’s Necklace’ (Marine Drive) and the historic Gateway of India offer stunning sea views and a glimpse into India’s culture and history.
- Busy: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CST), a bustling train station, is famous for its historic architecture and scenes of everyday life. Mumbai is a city that never sleeps.
- Street Food: Try local favorites like vada pav, pav bhaji, and cutting chai from street vendors, simple treats loved by locals.
- Markets: Visit areas like Colaba Causeway or Crawford Market for shopping, souvenirs, and a slice of Mumbai life.
- Haji Ali Dargah: A peaceful mosque located on a small island, connected to land by a narrow path, especially nice for a walk when the tide is low.
