WordCamp Asia 2026: The Premier Open Source Web Summit of Asia

April 9-11, 2026
Mumbai, India
Jio World Convention Centre

Three Core Objectives

Enjoy a Premier Conference: Three Days, Tons of Value

A day fully dedicated to WordPress contributions. Join contributors in WordPress translation, documentation, design ideas, or testing the software. If you’re not ready, join hands-on workshops.

Enjoy a full day of presentations and discussions. Learn from people who are using WordPress in incredible ways, from bloggers and designers to lead developers.

More sessions covering deeper subjects, plus plenty of time to explore the sponsor area and chat with people. Conclude the event with a huge, fun closing ceremony to celebrate everything we’ve accomplished together!

WordPress Communities in the Host Country: India

India has one of the most active WordPress communities in the world, with thousands of contributors and more than 20 active community groups hosting regular meetups and events.

India’s WordCamp journey began with WordCamp India 2009 in Delhi. Since then, the community has organized hundreds of events and has included next-gen new formats like Campus Connect and Women’s Day Meetups.

In 2025 alone, the country hosted over 15 major events (WordCamps and next-gen events altogether), further showcasing its community strength.

Home to thousands of dedicated WordPress professionals, India is ready to host the premier WordPress conference of Asia — WordCamp Asia 2026.

Experience Mumbai Magic

Mumbai promises not just an amazing conference, but a magical experience. Known as India’s financial powerhouse and home to Bollywood, it combines iconic landmarks, a vibrant economy, and bustling local life, earning its nickname, the “City of Dreams.”

  • Iconic Landmarks & Coastline: The ‘Queen’s Necklace’ (Marine Drive) and the historic Gateway of India offer stunning sea views and a glimpse into India’s culture and history.
  • Busy: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CST), a bustling train station, is famous for its historic architecture and scenes of everyday life. Mumbai is a city that never sleeps.
  • Street Food: Try local favorites like vada pav, pav bhaji, and cutting chai from street vendors, simple treats loved by locals.
  • Markets: Visit areas like Colaba Causeway or Crawford Market for shopping, souvenirs, and a slice of Mumbai life.
  • Haji Ali Dargah: A peaceful mosque located on a small island, connected to land by a narrow path, especially nice for a walk when the tide is low.
  • Cultural Experiences: Check out local art galleries, small theatres, and music performances to see Mumbai’s creative pulse.

Mumbai mixes old and new, hustle and calm. Be sure to take some time to see the city, as it will give you a fuller experience alongside the conference.
