Ahmed Kabir Chaion – The No-Code Advocate for WordPress

Ahmed Kabir Chaion is a long-time WordPress Contributor, sponsored by Rocket.net, and currently serves as the WordPress Contributions Lead at Hosting.com. He is a Team Rep for Making WordPress Polyglots, a former Team Rep for Global Design, and an organizer for major events including WordCamp Asia (2023–2026) and WordCamp Dhaka 2025, as well as the Dhaka WordPress Meetup chapter.

Ahmed has contributed to every major WordPress release since version 5.6 and has been recognized as a Noteworthy Contributor across multiple releases, including 5.8, 5.9, 6.0, 6.1, 6.3, 6.5, and 6.7. Beyond core contributions, he actively supports global community growth as a Community Event Supporter, Polyglots GTE, and mentor for local and international WordPress initiatives, including Campus Connect Dhaka 2025.

Outside WordPress, Ahmed is a Diplomacy Mentor, collaborating with institutions in Bangladesh, Australia, and Nigeria. He supports students in preparing for language proficiency exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, and PTE. During the pandemic, he joined WEDU Global to mentor Asian women in advancing their academic and professional growth. He has also judged the Hult Prize On-Campus competitions (2019–20, 2020–21, 2024–25), the world’s largest student entrepreneurship event in partnership with the UN.

Anand Upadhyay is a long-time WordPress contributor and community advocate based in Ajmer, India. Active in the ecosystem since 2010, he has contributed to several Make WordPress teams including Core, Docs, Community, and Polyglots, with a strong focus on empowering others to get involved.

He is the founder of WPVibes, a WordPress plugin development company that builds performance-driven tools for WordPress and WooCommerce users. Anand is also a regular WordCamp speaker, meetup organizer, and someone deeply committed to bringing WordPress education to students.

In 2024, he helped launch the first WordPress Campus Connect event, which went on to become a global program officially recognized by the WordPress Foundation. Anand continues to support and mentor student communities through events, workshops, and open-source advocacy.

I’m Krupa, a QA Engineer with over seven years of experience testing and improving WordPress-based projects. Over the years, I’ve worn many hats from Project Coordinator to Release Manager; helping shape in-house plugins and add-ons while keeping quality at the heart of every release.

I’m passionate about software quality, accessibility, and open source, and love being part of the WordPress community. I currently serve as an Accessibility Team Representative for Make WordPress, where I get to collaborate with contributors from around the world to make the web more inclusive for everyone.

Beyond work, I’m a mother exploring the world of open learning and unschooling with my child. Makarand G. Mane has been a passionate WordPress enthusiast since 2011. Starting as a freelance developer, he now leads WPGenius Solutions LLP, a trusted brand in WordPress services.

As a General Translation Editor for Marathi, Speaker at various WordCamps, Lead organiser of WordCamp Kolhapur 2025 and the organizer of the Kolhapur WordPress Meetup, Makarand actively contributes to the community. He also received a Diversity Scholarship to attend WordCamp Asia 2025. He conducts programming workshops and enjoys traveling, exploring cultures, and nurturing his spiritual side – qualities that have shaped his leadership as the lead organizer of WordCamp Kolhapur.

Rakesh Lawaju is a web enthusiast, programmer, trainer, and entrepreneur based in Nepal who has been in the web field since 2008. He is the Founder and CEO of One Loop Studio Pvt. Ltd and was the co-founder and CTO of WEN Solutions. He had worked as the project lead for the WP Travel plugin and other multiple plugins and themes. He is now leading the Gutenberg plugin called Gutenify.com and also working as a consultant for numerous international companies.

Rakesh has also worked for internationally renowned companies like 1E, WPMU DEV, and Graph Paper Press. In those companies, he has handled bigger projects, plugins, and themes.

He was on the organizing team of WordCamp Kathmandu in 2016, 2017, and 2018, and WordCamp Nepal in 2022 and 2024. During the release of WordPress 4.4 “Clifford”, he contributed to the WordPress core and contributed to translating WordPress into Nepali. He was a speaker at WordCamp Nepal 2015 and WordCamp Kathmandu 2019 and 2023. He is a frequent speaker at WordPress meetups. He has been an instructor for web development on PHP and WordPress development-related topics.

He has always been motivated to share the knowledge he gains and contribute to the growth and development of WordPress.

Rolly has more than 15 years of experience with WordPress, working on custom solutions and leading technical projects. Despite his long journey with the platform, he only joined as an organizer last year at WordCamp Asia 2025 in Manila, where he was part of the Contributor Day team.

This year marks his second time as a WordCamp Asia organizer, now taking on the responsibility of Co-Lead for Contributor Day in Mumbai. He is passionate about building a welcoming and impactful contributor experience, with a focus on onboarding, workshops, and helping participants deepen their involvement.

Beyond organizing, he spends time contributing to the wider WordPress ecosystem through Core patches, testing, translations, and by building free plugins and block-based themes. Outside of WordPress, he enjoys cruising around the islands on his motorcycle, moto vlogging, and traveling to discover new places and stories.
