Traveling abroad for WordCamps and dealing with visa applications can be challenging. When it comes to attending WordCamp Asia 2025 in the Philippines, the visa process can vary for people from different countries.
Visa-Exempt Entry
Citizens of 157 countries can enter the Philippines visa-free for tourism or business purposes. Stay is typically 30 days, except for Brazil and Israel (59 days), and Hong Kong and Macau (14 days).
Please note that, before traveling to the Philippines, your passport should remain valid for at least six months.
Non Visa-Exempt
If you are from a country that is not visa-exempt to enter the Philippines, you have the option to choose from one of the following:
- Tourist Visa: most common for WordCamp attendees
- Business Visa: if participating in work-related events
- Special Visa: for speakers, journalists, etc.
Afterwards, you should submit your visa application, schedule an embassy or consulate appointment, and wait for approval.
Special visa exemptions apply for Chinese, Indian and Taiwan nationals.
