Exclusive Airport Fast-Track Lane for WordCamp Asia Attendees
We’re thrilled to announce that WordCamp Asia 2025 attendees, speakers, and guests arriving at Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on February 19–20 will have access to a dedicated fast-track lane at Terminals 1 & 3!
To use this lane, simply present proof of your attendance, such as a soft copy of your WordCamp Asia 2025 e-ticket. A printed sign will be placed near the immigration lanes to help guide you.
This exclusive lane will speed up your arrival process, making your journey to WordCamp Asia smoother and stress-free. Don’t forget to have your e-ticket ready upon landing!
PICC Guidelines & Dress Code
We’re excited to welcome you to WordCamp Asia 2025 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC)! To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience, please review the following important guidelines:
Event Check-In Email
Attendees will receive their e-ticket email by February 19, 2025.
You’ll receive a separate email from wordcamp@wpasia.org with the subject “[Important] Your E-Ticket for WordCamp Asia 2025” before the event, which contains your registration information soon. You can print it out or present the digital copy.
On the event days:
- Visit the Registration/Information Desk.
- Show your registration information that you received in the email and collect your badge.
Other useful information:
- Security Checks: Bags and personal belongings will be inspected upon entry.
- Emergency Preparedness: First aid stations will be available, and emergency exits will be clearly marked.
Badge QR Code: Elevating Your Networking Experience
At WordCamp Asia, we believe that meaningful connections propel the open-source community forward. To enhance networking, your badge will feature a QR code linked to your Gravatar profile, transforming it into a digital business card.
To maximize your networking potential, please update your Gravatar profile before the event. Include a professional picture, up-to-date contact details, and a brief bio highlighting your expertise and interests. This will help you make a lasting impression and foster valuable connections.
If you don’t have one, sign up for a new account with the email you registered with for WordCamp Asia.
Special Dress Code for WordCamp Asia 2025 Attendees
The standard PICC dress code does not usually allow shorts, undershirts (sando), or slippers/flip-flops. However, WordCamp Asia 2025 organizers have secured a special exemption for attendees. Weather in Manila will hover around 30°C (85° F) during the day.
The adjusted dress code is as follows:
✅ Allowed:
- Shorts: skorts, suit shorts, culottes, rompers, walking/cargo/Bermuda shorts, and denim shorts (no more than five inches above the knee).
- Footwear: all closed-toe shoes, plus strapped sandals, leather/leatherette sliders, and pool slides (only if worn with socks).
❌ Not Allowed:
- Shorts: boxer shorts, cycling/biker shorts, gym/athletic shorts, and denim shorts exceeding the five-inch limit.
- Footwear: flip-flops, house slippers, and pool slides worn without socks.
Children under 13 years old have more flexibility in their attire.

Health & Sanitation Protocols
For your health and safety, we recommend bringing your own hand sanitizer or alcohol to stay fresh and clean throughout the event.
If you prefer, wearing a face mask is absolutely welcome—feel free to do what makes you most comfortable. Thank you for your cooperation!
Sustainability Reminder
💧 Bring Your Own Water Bottle – Water stations will be available, and using a reusable bottle helps reduce waste.
Facilities & Assistance
- Venue Care: Please keep the venue clean by using designated trash bins and treating the property with care.
- Signage & Help Desks: Directional signs will be available throughout the venue, and help desks (Information Centers) are ready to assist you.
- Lost & Found: Report any lost items to the Information Center.
Event Conduct & Policies
- Maintain professional and respectful behavior at all times.
- Follow policies regarding photography and recording.
- Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
Conference Shuttle Service
To make your daily commute to WordCamp Asia 2025 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) effortless, we’ve arranged shuttle buses between Mall of Asia (MOA), Conrad Hotel, and PICC on February 21–22.
Each bus accommodates 49 passengers, and a staff coordinator will be on board to assist you.
Bus Schedule:
📍 RACKS | SM Mall of Asia (MOA) to PICC & Conrad Hotel to PICC:
- Morning Departures: 7:30 AM | 8:00 AM | 8:30 AM
- Afternoon Returns: 3:00 PM | 4:00 PM | 5:00 PM
This free shuttle service ensures you arrive at the venue on time and can return conveniently. Plan accordingly, as seats are first-come, first-served!
Mandatory eTravel Registration for the Philippines
Starting April 15, 2023, eTravel registration is mandatory for all travelers entering or leaving the Philippines. Registration is free and must be completed before departure.
How to Register
Visit eTravel.gov.ph to complete the required Immigration and Customs entry form. You must create an account to register.
🔹 Who Needs to Register?
- Entering the Philippines: All passengers, including infants, regardless of nationality.
- Leaving the Philippines: Philippine nationals only.
- Exemptions: Passengers with official/diplomatic passports and 9e visa holders.
When to Register?
- Entering the Philippines: Registration opens 72 hours before flight departure. Select “ARRIVAL – Entering the Philippines.”
- Leaving the Philippines: Registration opens 72 hours before flight departure. Select “DEPARTURE – Leaving the Philippines.” It is strongly recommended to register at least 3 hours before departure.
Important Notes
✅ Registration takes about 5 minutes.
✅ A 2D barcode will be generated upon completion—save a screenshot or print a copy for easy access.
✅ You may be required to present your barcode at the airport, so ensure it’s accessible offline.
Make sure to register before arrival or departure to avoid travel delays!
A Short Guide to Philippines for Travelers
When visiting the Philippines, it’s essential to be aware of cultural norms to ensure a respectful and enjoyable experience.
- Be Friendly & Respectful – Filipinos value hospitality and a warm demeanor. A smile and polite manners go a long way.
- Respect Elders – Use “po” and “opo” when speaking to show respect.
- Stay Modest – Avoid boasting about wealth or achievements.
- Dining Etiquette – Sharing food is customary; try a bit of everything when offered.
- Dress Appropriately – Casual clothing is fine, but dress modestly in rural areas and religious sites.
- Stay Aware – Keep belongings secure, especially in crowded areas.
- Learn Basic Greetings – “Ate” (a-teh) means sister, and “Kuya” (koo-yah) means older brother—great for friendly interactions!
