Meet Our Human Library Books

The Human Library Returns to WordCamp Asia 2025 Contributor Day. This innovative event invites attendees to engage in meaningful one-on-one conversations with “Human Books,” individuals with extraordinary stories, perspectives, and expertise. By focusing on themes of inclusivity, learning, and empathy, the Human Library aims to bridge gaps in understanding and promote a sense of community within the WordPress ecosystem and beyond.

This unique program invites attendees to connect one-on-one with experienced WordPress contributors, known as “Books,” who share their stories, knowledge, and expertise. It’s a chance to:

  • Learn from seasoned contributors.
  • Get inspired by real-world experiences.
  • Build connections within the WordPress community.

Last year, one of our “Books,” a WordPress developer, inspired an attendee to start contributing code to WordPress Core—just one of many meaningful stories!

Each Human “Book” represents a diverse range of experiences, from overcoming challenges in tech entrepreneurship to navigating nontraditional career paths in web development. Attendees can “check out” them for their respective time-slot conversation, allowing them to ask questions, share ideas, and gain fresh insights.

Whether you are a beginner looking for guidance or a seasoned professional seeking new perspectives, the Human Library provides a rare opportunity to learn directly from real-life experiences in an open and safe environment.
