Contributor Day Registration
In order to join us on the Contributor Day, you will first need to purchase the WordCamp Asia 2025 ticket. The type of ticket does not matter. Without this ticket, you will not be able to attend the Contributor Day.
When the Contributor Day registration form is ready, we will email you with a link to the form. There will be no additional cost, as your ticket covers all three days of the event including the Contributor Day.
What happens at Contributor Day?
- The main “event” of the Contributor Day is where attendees join tables of Make WordPress teams, and dig in to start contribution activities – whether it will be coding, learning, discussing, helping others, reviewing, and so on.
- There will be a separate introductory session for those who never contributed before.
- There will be a Human Library section. This is where attendees can engage into one-on-one sessions with experienced contributors who are referred to as “books”.
Contributor Day Teams
There are more than 20 Make WordPress teams working on different parts of the WordPress project. When registering for the Contributor Day, you will be asked which team(s) you would like to join for the Contributor Day.
Check out our Contributor Wizard – which is a step-by-step wizard to help you decide which team might be a good fit for you!
If you are interested in more than one team, or want to spend some time in more than one team, that is fine too! Select multiple teams on the registration and decide later.
Note: while we are committed to bringing as many requested Make team tables as possible, we cannot guarantee the presence of all Make teams at this time.
Accessibility
The Accessibility Team provides accessibility expertise across the project to improve the accessibility of WordPress core and resources. If you are interested in making WordPress accessible to everyone, join us!
Community
This Team oversees official events, mentorship programs, diversity initiatives, contributor outreach, and other ways of growing the WordPress community.
If you are curious about how to start a Meetup in your city or how you can organise a WordCamp, then join the Community Team.
Core / Core Performance
The Core Team builds WordPress! Get involved and learn about general updates, status reports, and the occasional code debate. If you find a bug, you may create a ticket in the core bug tracker. You can get started quickly with core tickets marked as good first bugs for new contributors or join a bug scrub.
Design
The Design Team provides the user experience, user interface, and visual design expertise for the WordPress project. This includes design for the WordPress product, the WordPress.org network, and community projects. All levels of experience are welcome.

You can start contributing to the Plugin Team by reporting the Plugin security issue as well.
