Early WordPress Journey and Contributions

Pooja Derashri is the Co-Founder of WPVibes, a plugin development agency based in India. She began using WordPress in 2013 and became an active contributor in 2018 when she participated in the Contribution Day at WordCamp Ahmedabad. Pooja has since contributed to several WordPress teams, including Community, Test, Training, Polyglots, WPTV, and Photos. She has also served as a Team Rep for the WP Training and Test Teams and is a co-organizer of the Ajmer WordPress Meetup group.

Role in WordCamp Asia 2025

Having previously worked as part of the Speakers Team at WordCamp Asia 2023, Pooja is now an organizer for WordCamp Asia 2025. She is part of the Sponsors Team, where she focuses on securing funding and establishing sponsorships for the event. Her role includes onboarding sponsors, managing contracts and invoices, and ensuring that sponsors have a seamless experience with the event.

Vision for WordCamp Asia and Community Growth

For Pooja, being a part of WordCamp Asia is a chance to contribute to the vibrant WordPress community and foster collaboration across regions. She aims to build an inclusive space where diverse voices can come together to share ideas, learn, and grow.
