Brewing WordPress Passion: From Coffeeholic to WordCamp Asia Organizer

Sharing the Love of WordPress:

I’m a self-proclaimed ‘coffee-loving WordPress nerd’ with a passion for helping others learn WordPress. Currently, I am part of the LevelUp Core Operations Team, and leading the training and development, where I enjoy sharing my knowledge about WordPress with my other colleagues. I love sharing my knowledge about WordPress with others.

Throughout my career, I’ve built beautiful, functional websites for small businesses, focusing on conversion optimization using WordPress. I also love helping fellow WordPress users resolve their technical issues, and sharing my enthusiasm and expertise to make their WordPress journey smoother.

Sharing my love for WordPress is more than just a job for me—it’s about empowering others to succeed.

My WordPress Journey:

I started using WordPress in college around 2012 and became an active contributor in 2015. My initial contribution revolved around providing assistance to others in the forums and addressing technical support inquiries. This spark made me want to get involved more and explore other teams like Polyglots, Photos, Training, and of course, the Community. This spirit of connection extended to the Philippine WordPress local meetups, where I actively contributed to organizing events in my hometown and surrounding areas.

Building a Bigger Table with WordCamp Asia:

WordCamps, both local and flagship events like WordCamp Asia, always draw me in. The first time I attended WordCamp Asia was in Bangkok in 2023, and the next year I volunteered at WordCamp Asia 2024 in Taipei. This time, I joined the organizing team for WordCamp Asia 2025.

As part of the Contributor Day organizing team, I am organizing a special day dedicated to collaboration on contributing to improve the WordPress project, such as in areas such as code, design, documentation, etc. My primary focus is Contributor Day, but I also actively support other teams whenever possible, especially the local and venue team tasks.

Reflecting on the Past and Embracing the Future:

My decision to join the WordCamp Asia organizing team was based on my deep love for the WordPress community and a desire to contribute on a larger scale. Volunteering at the WordCamp Asia 2024 showed me how these events help people work together and make connections.

As an organizer, my mission is to create an environment where attendees can learn, connect, and grow. It’s a chance to give back to the community that has given me so much. With growing excitement and anticipation for WordCamp Asia 2025, I envision a diverse gathering fostering learning, innovation, and a vibrant exchange of ideas.

My role as an organizer is to create a welcoming and productive environment, particularly during Contributor Day, where we can inspire new contributors and strengthen the global WordPress community. Ultimately, I’m driven to make this a memorable and impactful experience for everyone involved.
