A WordCamp Organizer Balancing Life and Passion

A Journey from Design to Development

Alina Kakshapati’s career in the IT sector began in 2011, starting as a designer before transitioning into development and project management. While currently a full-time mom, she continues to work on her ideas, drawing from over 12 years of experience. Her WordPress journey started in 2012, and she has been an active participant in the community ever since. From speaking at WordCamp Nepal in 2014 to organizing and volunteering at various WordCamps, Alina has always been passionate about contributing to the WordPress ecosystem.

Bringing Balance to Work and Home

Balancing the demands of raising a hyper-active toddler with her career, Alina thrives on coordinating tasks, managing timelines, and tackling challenges. Her experience in human resource management has been invaluable, both at home and in her professional life. As a member of the communications team for WordCamp Asia 2025, Alina is responsible for crafting social media posts, announcements, and blog content. Her team ensures that all communications reflect the event’s goals and keep the community informed and engaged.

Looking Forward to a Fun and Collaborative WordCamp

Having volunteered at WordCamp Asia 2024, Alina is excited to return as an organizer for WordCamp Asia 2025. Her role in the communications team is one of many efforts to make the event a success, from promotional campaigns to logistical coordination. Alina is eager to collaborate with like-minded people and expects the event to be a memorable and fun experience for all. She encourages others to get involved, saying, “Go ahead. You will love the experience and exposure.” Outside of WordPress, Alina enjoys shopping and traveling, always ready for new adventures.
