Shaping WordCamp Asia’s Future

A Passion for WordPress and Community

Regan Khadgi, a passionate WordPress enthusiast from Kathmandu, Nepal, has been immersed in the WordPress ecosystem since 2011. His journey began as a coder and speaker, and by 2015, he had taken his first steps into the world of WordCamp. In 2019, he co-organized WordCamp Kathmandu and has since become a dedicated figure in the community. Now, as an organizer for WordCamp Asia 2025, Regan continues to contribute to the growth of the WordPress community across Asia.

From Speaker to Team Lead

A seasoned organizer, Regan has taken on various roles at WordCamp Asia, including working on the Speakers and Program teams. His experience in selecting speakers and designing the event’s schedule has been instrumental in shaping the event’s success. For WordCamp Asia 2025, Regan is stepping into the role of Volunteers Team Lead, overseeing the selection and management of volunteers to ensure everything runs smoothly. His current focus is on volunteer onboarding and ensuring that the event is even more successful than the previous editions.

Balancing Family, Fitness, and WordPress

Outside of WordPress, Regan is a dedicated father to a son and daughter. He also has a strong passion for fitness, hitting the gym six days a week to stay healthy. For Regan, being involved with WordCamp is about more than just organizing an event; it’s about creating an unforgettable experience that fosters growth, collaboration, and learning for everyone involved. He encourages others to apply to volunteer or organize—because the experience gained is truly invaluable.
