Anand Upadhyay, founder of WPVibes, has been a dedicated member of the WordPress community since 2010. Initially starting as a web developer, Anand took his first step into contributions during WordCamp Ahmedabad 2017, where he submitted his first patch on Contributor Day. Since then, he has actively contributed to WordPress Core, Community, Docs, and Polyglots while co-organizing the Ajmer WordPress Meetup. Teaching and sharing knowledge are close to his heart, and he enjoys mentoring others to explore the opportunities within WordPress.

For WordCamp Asia 2025, Anand is part of the Attendee Experience (AX) team, focusing on creating an inclusive and enjoyable environment. From ensuring accessibility and catering to diverse dietary needs to organizing engaging pre-event activities, Social Night, and the After Party, Anand and his team are dedicated to making the event unforgettable. Surprises and special touches are also in store to ensure attendees feel welcomed and inspired throughout the event.

Anand’s transition from an attendee to an organizer reflects his deep commitment to WordPress and its global community. After emceeing at the last two editions of WordCamp Asia, he felt inspired to take on a more significant role. For Anand, organizing isn’t just about logistics—it’s a chance to collaborate, learn from diverse perspectives, and create meaningful connections. As he prepares to explore the Philippines and meet his co-organizers in person, Anand encourages others to step forward as volunteers or organizers, emphasizing the rewarding journey of growth and contribution within the WordPress ecosystem.
