Carole joined the WordPress community in 2016 – during a four-year sabbatical to take care of her mental health – and it was life-changing!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Carole quit her former job as a government administrator, left her home country Luxembourg, and threw herself into WordCamp volunteering, organizing, and speaking while traveling the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Furthermore, she quickly became an advocate for positive mental health, diversity, and inclusion in tech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Recently, she joined Yoast as a Culture & Recruitment Strategist after finding her passion in taking team culture and recruitment marketing to the next level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Carole is also the Head of CloudFest Hackathon, enabling the setting of milestones for open-source projects at the leading conference for cloud computing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the past few years, she has worked in various roles at several companies in the WordPress industry, including a leading WebOps platform and a renowned WordPress agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Carole current home base is in a rural region of Germany, where she shares her partially digital nomadic life with her husband and #BuffyTheDog, who she successfully trained to be her certified psychiatric service dog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
